STRUCTURAL FUND/EUROPEAN SOCIAL FUND PROJECT 2004 - 2006
Title: Capacity Building of the Local Government Representatives in Micro-regions in the Slovak Republic
Coordinator: Open, Distance and Vocational Learning Programme of AINova
Partners: 12 micro-regions in Slovakia
Goal: The general objective of the project is the improvement of quality and scope of further education provided for the local governments’ employees. With the help of training, an increased potential of the micro-regions is expected and regional disparities should be reduced.
Target groups: public administration representatives

SLOVAK MFA/UNDP TRUST FUND PROJECT 2004 – 2005
Title: Stronger Civil Society in Ukraine – Better Wider EU Neighbourhood
Coordinator: European Studies Programme of AINova
Partner: Bukovinian Center for Political Studies, Ukraine
Goal: The overall goal of the project is to contribute to capacity building of the civil society organization, which will result in activating CSOs and establish them as strong counterparts for the government in discussing and formulating public policies. Under the project the train-the-trainers courses will be developed on EU affairs, project design and management skills.
Target group: civil society representatives

SMALL PHARE PROJECT/TOURISM DEVELOPMENT GRANT SCHEME 2004 – 2005
Title: Creation of Tourist Information Center in Svätý Jur
Coordinator: Municipal Office in Svätý Jur, SK
Partner: AINova
Goal: The objective of the project is to help to develop tourism in the Lesser Carpathians´ region by creating infrastructure conditions for supporting of small and medium entrepreneurs. Under the project the building for the Information Tourist Center will be renovated. AINova will furnish and equip the center with equipment and will run the center in cooperation with the Municipal Office.
Target group: both providers of services and users/visitors of the information tourist center

PRVÁ STAVEBNÁ SPORITEĽŇA 2004, PORSCHE SLOVAKIA 2004
Title: Using The Heritage Potential for the Uhrovec Valley Development
Coordinator: Built Heritage Conservation and Development Studies of AINova
Goal: The project analysed development opportunities of the Uhrovec Micro-region using its cultural heritage potential. During a workshop the young heritage professionals of the BHCD studies worked out a set of recommendations that were publicly presented to local stakeholders and later a comprehensive report was published.

MINISTRY OF CULTURE / OBNOV SI SVOJ DOM 2004–2005
Title: Management of World Heritage Sites in Slovakia
Coordinator: Built Heritage Conservation and Development Studies of AINova
Partner: The project runs in close cooperation with the Monuments Board of the Slovak Republic.
Goal: The project develops a new training course dedicated to stakeholders from the public and private sectors of the Slovak sites enlisted or nominated for the World Heritage List.
