Built Heritage Conservation and Development

Brief description of the programme:

  • one-year study, from October till June, conducted in English
  • possible financial support for selected students
  • development of professional English
  • respected lecturers from many countries
  • international students group
  • platform for discussion, exchange of knowledge and experience
  • field trips, seminars and workshops in various countries
  • opportunity for individual research work
  • linking theory with practical experience
  • harmonisation of heritage conservation and its development

The BHCD programme cooperates with respected institutions:

  • Monuments Board of the Slovak Republic
  • Ministry of Culture of the Slovak Republic
  • Slovak University of Technology, Civil Engineering Faculty, Slovakia
  • The Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus, Germany
  • Catholic University of Leuven, R. Lemaire Center for Conservation, Belgium
  • ICOMOS - International Council on Monuments and Sites, France
  • ICCROM - International Centre for the Study of the Preservation and Restoration of Cultural Property, Italy

The study programme is accredited by the Ministry of Education of the Slovak Republic.

The lectures take place in the historic building”Turna“ in the town of SvätĂ˝ Jur, close to Bratislava, where the AINova specialized library and the PC labs are also situated.
