E-learning
E-education (E-learning course) offers the participants more opportunities to organise their study on their own, based on their individual needs. The course participants can decide autonomously when they will study and how much time they will spend on it. In the course of the study they can fully use the support of the tutors who reply to their questions. The students can communicate with each other, discuss disputable or interesting topics and issues.
Besides the self-study on the Internet, the course participants meet at the contact seminars which serve as a source of information through stimulating lectures and discussions on the selected topics. They also have the opportunity of personal consultations with the tutors.
AINova has practically been involved in e-learning since 2002 – several European projects have helped us familiarise with the distance learning methodology and practice it. The European affairs team have gradually gone through the preparation of several modules focused on European integration to the own autonomous courses – within the ESF project in the years 2006 – 2008 and the most recently to the E-educated project which ended in 2010. Within these projects, the courses aimed predominately at teachers and trainers have been implemented experimentally; they served as a valuable source of comments on the content and formal aspect of the courses.
We are planning to offer the European integration course to the public and introduce it in the first half of 2011 in English and Slovak (as well as Spanish, German and French) languages.
