Preparation of candidates for work in EU Institutions

The AINova experts in the field of European integration have organized regular preparatory courses for people interested in positions in EU institutions since 2004. In 2004 there was a 3-day course in French organized with the Center of European Studies in Strasbourg and the French Embassy in the Slovak Republic. In the period of 2005-2008 we ran 2-day courses in Slovak combined with English with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The courses provided an overview of information on EU issues necessary for passing the pre-selection tests, the participants were also trained in so-called verbal reasoning – tests of knowledge of foreign language and so-called numerical reasoning – tests of logical mathematic thinking, and received basic preparation for written tests – essays on expert topics and for interview. The course programme was accompanied with the information on practical experience of candidates who took part in competition.
The competitions open in 2010 are governed with new rules, and their composition changes. The emphasis is now put on personal qualities and not on being able to learn lots of facts about the EU. At the moment we are collecting the information on new tests and the experience of recent participants. You will find more information on new tests at www.epso.eu.
In the meantime we are happy to provide individual consultations for everybody interested in EPSO tests.
