Work in EU institutions

Although Slovakia joined the EU almost 3 years ago, it still does not have enough experts working in the EU institutions, especially in the Commission, Parliament and Court of Justice.

Recruitment of staff in the EU institutions manages European Personnel Selection Office – EPSO. It regularly announces open competitions for next period on its website. Competition usually consists of pre-selection tests on EU institutions and EU policies, verbal reasoning testing knowledge of foreign language and numerical reasoning testing mathematic thinking. there. In addition, there is a written exam – an essay on a chosen expert topic and interview.

List of positions (made by the EPSO) for which the competitions in 2010 are planned can be found at http://europa.eu/epso/doc/epso_planning_en.pdf.

Another opportunity to work for the EU represent positions in the EU agencies. They organize their competitions on themselves. However the notices are usually published at EPSO website.

Overview of vacancies in the EU agencies can be found at http://europa.eu/epso/apply/today/temporary_en.htm.

The European Integration staff gives consultations on work opportunities in the EU institutions, on work stages, on announced competitions and recruitment procedure, as well as on work conditions for employees of the EU institutions.
